Another successful Annual Project awards night comes to an end

This year’s FIDIC Awards were presented at the Gala Dinner during the FIDIC International Infrastructure Conference in Mexico City, Mexico on Monday 09 September 2019.

The annual awards ceremony which takes place during the gala dinner, forms an integral part of FIDIC’s initiatives to support the work of the consulting engineering and infrastructure industry.

The FIDIC Project Awards aims to promote FIDIC principles: Quality, Integrity and Sustainability while also celebrating outstanding projects where FIDIC member firms have played a major role. The awards help to publicize the work of consulting engineering firms and their contribution to quality of life and innovation.

Some of the big winners of 2019 included, among others, CNAEC for the China Xi’an–Chengdu High-Speed Railway, Spain’s Tecniberia for the Widening of the Bridge over the Rande Strait (Spain) and Canada’s ACEC for the Inuvik Tuktoyaktuk Highway.

These annual awards form part of the efforts to support the aims of the Federation which are to promote the use of international FIDIC best practices and resources.

FIDIC also holds a Contract Awards ceremony which usually takes place later in the year in London.
