After some delay, FIDIC is pleased to announce that the FIDIC Certified Consulting Engineers (FCCE) who sat their exams at the tail end of 2019 will receive their certificates in 2020.
While the date of the actual graduation ceremony to mark this auspicious achievement is yet to be determined, it was important to ensure that all 447 graduands were in possession of their certificates by August of this year.
Following the announcement which was posted on the various social media channels in China as well as being advertised on the FIDIC website, the FCCEs who sat their exams in November 2019 were finally informed that they would be receiving their certificates in the third quarter of this year.
This delay has been largely due to the global pandemic, as this has led to unexpected rescheduling of the various planned events to celebrate the completion of this Pilot Programme.
Initially started over a decade ago, the FCCE Pilot programme will come to an end this year and will give way to a new FCCE programme which it is hoped will be able to roll out at the start of 2021.
The setting up of a regional office in Beijing, China, notably the FIDIC Consulting Services (Beijing) Ltd. offices has meant that the process of signing up for the FCCE programme will serve as a positive step going forward which will help to consolidate FIDIC’s collaboration with local partners.
It only reflects in an even more tangible manner, FIDIC’s commitment to promoting regional partnership and international cooperation.
